Uruguay have become the latest team to officially unveil their kits for RWC2019, with Los Teros showing off the brand new primary and alternate shirts they’ll wear in Japan later this year.

The jerseys are pretty classic in Uruguay terms – a light blue home shirt and a white away, with an interesting gold and dark blue collar on both jerseys.

Both shirts also feature a stylised teros bird motif on the front of the design, as a nod to the crest of Uruguay rugby. One thing we’re not sure of however, is the kit supplier.

There’s a logo beneath the collar – is it BOX, OXB, XOB? – but there’s no further info on the brand in question, even a name, anywhere in Uruguay’s social media or website. If you know, please comment below!

UPDATE: We’re reliably informed below that the brand in question is Oxbridge – South American apparel supplier who also do Chile rugby.

Uruguay will wear their jerseys for the first time against Fiji in their opening match of RWC2019 on 25 September 2019. Check out all the new RWC2019 jerseys in our full round-up here.

  1. Uruguayan news reports that the British Oxbridge designed and manufactures the shirts. However, it’s hard to find any info on that company

  2. I actually like these jerseys a lot – especially when compared with WRC 2015. The simplistic blue works well here and the yellow color is a nice, modest splash of color.
