Union Argentina de Rugby have revealed the brand new jerseys that Los Pumas will wear for their Rugby World Cup 2019 campaign in Japan.
Both shirts are made by Nike, as usual, and as you’d hope for perhaps the most unabashedly beautiful jersey in international rugby, they’ve opted to keep things extremely clean and classic.
So we have a simple blue and white hooped design, complete with classic hooped sleeves in contrast to their all-time wonderful RWC2015 design. Other than that, all that’s needed for ornamentation is a gold swoosh and an old-school collar that’s reminiscent of one of the great all-time rugby shirts.

Argentina’s alternate jerseys under Nike have often been a clever balance of eye-catching and downright lovely, and while their World Cup change strip is certainly the former, whether it’s the latter is less clear cut.
A dark blue base jersey is accented with vertical tonal stripes down the front, and then most polarisingly, a gold-to-blue central stripe, itself accented by a hot pink UAR badge and swoosh. It’s certainly no shrinking violet.
Argentina will wear their RWC2019 jerseys for the first time for their opening fixture against France on 21 September. Check out all the new Rugby World Cup 2019 jerseys in our full round-up here.
The stripe on the away kit is inspired by the Historic National Flag Monument in Rosario.
Lovell Rugby only seems to be selling a version of the home jersey without the floppy white collar?
