Glasgow Warriors have revealed a brand new club crest, which will appear on the front of the club’s jerseys from the start of the 2019/20 season onwards.

The new jersey replaces the previous logo, which had been used since the 2005, and in a previous iteration was also used as the Glasgow crest between 1996 and 1998, and follows on from Edinburgh’s rebrand last season.

The new logo takes the concept of the helmeted Warrior of old to the next level, ditching the nondescript features of the old fella for a cartoon mascot with flowing locks and a snarl on his lips.

One nice nod to the past is the shield upon which our new mascot sits, with its diagonal cross presumably lifted from the old (and it must be said, superior) Glasgow District Rugby Union crest.

The new Glasgow logo will appear for the first time in the club’s new 2019/20 jerseys, which will be revealed later on in the year.
