Top 14 hopefuls ASM Clermont Auvergne have revealed a brand new club crest that the Montferrand-based team will wear from the start of the 2019/20 season onwards.
The new crest is the sixth evolution of the Clermont crest since the club was founded in 1911, and is an evolution and streamlining of the previous design – ditching the double shield and multiple yellow and blue stripes, but keeping the ‘ASM’, ‘Clermont Auvergne’ and adding the year of the club’s foundation inside the bottom of a much simpler shield.
It’s also worth noting that the shade of blue of the shield background is darker than previously, but this reflects a gradual darkening of the blue on Clermont’s jersey in recent years.
One notable addition is subtle but nonetheless quite important. The ‘A’ of Auvergne has been replaced with the new logo of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region – a non-profit organisation dedicated to boosting the profile and popularity of the region.
Keep an eye out for the new ASM Clermont Auvergne crest on the new 2019/20 jerseys when they’re released later on this year.
Auvergne rhone alpe isn’t a “a non-profit organisation dedicated to boosting the profile and popularity of the region. “It’s a territorial administration, born from the fusion of the former Region of Auvergne, and Rhone-Alpe. Current president of region is one of the worst french politician, and push asm to adopt the ugly logo he chose for the region.
