Connacht Rugby have revealed their 2017/18 home shirt, in typically innovative and unusual style, ahead of the start of the new Guinness Pro 12 season.
It’s the fifth year of Connacht’s partnership with BLK – the Irish province were the first team that the Australian brand partnered with in Europe, and with the problems the company has had in the last 6 months, are one of only two top-level teams that are still bearing the brand’s name in the Northern Hemisphere.
The new home shirt moves away from last year’s stunning tonal hooped design for a more traditional all-green jersey, with contrasting dark green panels across the shoulders and under the sleeves.
Rather than the textbook shirt launch kit photo, BLK Ireland opted to launch it instead with a rather cool illustration of Connacht stars John Muldoon, Bundee Aki and Ultane Dillane, with the slogan ‘Stronger In Green’ above it.
