The French Rugby Federation have made the surprising move of releasing a brand new Adidas France home jersey in-between the Autumn Internationals and the Six Nations.
Adidas’ long association with the FFR comes to the end next June, and for reasons perhaps best known to them and the authorities at the union, they’ve waited until now to replace the striking dark blue design of last season with another very modern look.
The new shirt is a lighter shade of blue than the previous home design, and features a striking sublimated geometric pattern that covers the entirety of the front, back and sleeves of the shirt.

first comments are that the pattern is related to the hotel’s flooring in the Shining :
Recent low performances from France led to bad comments on this shirt.
The fact that the shorts are matching the jersey’s pattern makes the global stuff more like pyjamas than sports garments
Plain white shorts & red socks would have been better.
Worst detail is that the pattern is also on the socks.
An absolute abomination
