The United Rugby Championship is the new fact of the Pro14, with a new streamlined format and the addition of the four South African Super Rugby teams into the competition.
It’s a brave new world for the competition, and with it comes a whole new world of tasty new kits for us to enjoy – here’s everything we know so far.
Benetton Rugby 2021/22 jerseys
The reigning Rainbow Cup champions have reverted to a more classic look for 2021/22 with the old-school green and white hoops for the home and sky blue and white for the away – very nice indeed.
Bulls 2021/22 URC jerseys
The Bulls, like most of the South African teams, are not changing things up for their first season in Northern Hemisphere rugby, with the Pretorian side keeping the same clean, classic Puma designs the club wore in the Rainbow Cup.
Cardiff Rugby 2021/22 jerseys
The former Blues move into their new era by switching back to the blue and black colours of Cardiff RFC. The home and away are very bland but the classic hooped third shirt is a real winner.
Connacht 2021/22 jerseys
The men from Galway have always gone for bold modernist jerseys during their long association with BLK and this year is no different, with a striking geometric pattern on the home shirt and a black and lime away.
Dragons 2021/22 jerseys
Talk of a Cardiff-style rebrand are swirling around the Dragons but for 2021/22 they’ve opted for a very clean look with black and white home and change jerseys accented by gold dragon scales down the side panels.
Edinburgh Rugby 2021/22 jerseys
After a few years of teasing us with orange since they rebranded and introduced the colour into their palette, Edinburgh have finally given the people what they want – a lovely, bold orange away kit.
Glasgow Warriors 2021/22 jerseys
Say what you like about Glasgow, their kits are never less than basically the same every year, and this year’s pair feel like yet another Friday afternoon job.
Leinster 2021/23 jerseys
No change for the Champions this year, with their 2021 kits carried over for another season – and yes, they do have both a blue home and a blue away shirt. It’s a thing.
Lions 2021/22 URC jerseys
The Lions became the first South African team to sign with Macron this offseason, and left it very late to reveal their new primary jersey, which features a white front and red back, with an interesting ‘static’ pattern across the bottom.
Munster 2021/22 jerseys
Minster’s new home shirt is an interesting take on hoops, with a mix of plain and patterned red complete with white pinstripes – needless to say it’s not been universally approved. The black away shirt from last year has been kept.
Ospreys 2021/22 jerseys
The Ospreys have switched from Canterbury to become the second club team to rock Umbro. Things couldn’t be more clean and understated for the first effort, with black and white jerseys accented by a tonal isometric pattern.
Scarlets 2021/22 jerseys
Clean and classy for the Scarlets this year, though as many have pointed out these jerseys are almost identical to the shirts the region wore in 2011.
Sharks 2020/22 URC jerseys
The Sharks swapped Canterbury for Mr Price in-house brand Maxed Elite at the start of the aborted 2020 Super Rugby season, and they’re still on board for the Durban side’s URC bow – the home shirt sports an interesting honeycomb pattern up top with some thin chevrons at the waist.
Stormers 2021/22 URC jerseys
The Stormers are sticking with the same pair of jerseys they wore for the Rainbow Cup, which means a modern take on the traditional WP hoops for the home and a striking black and red design for the away.
Ulster Rugby 2021/22 jerseys
Ulster almost never change their home kit, and when they do the changes are usually very minor, as with this year. It’s saved by the addition of what is probably the nicest new away kit of the season though.
Zebre Rugby 2021/22 jerseys
Zebre’s striped jerseys have become the thing of modern legend and this year they’re going even more 90s with a neon twist – yes yes yes.

Some nice kits in this.
Benetton might need another shirt when playing the Stormers.
Good to see Dragons moving away from full Newport colours and would like to see bit mire royal blue of Gwent in there.
Scarlets are quite boring and could have been more like Clermont design.
When will the SA kits be released.
Glasgow is exaclty the same as the new Scotland jerseys. Same model, same sponsor, same energy.
