London Irish return to London for the first time in 20 years next season, when they leave Reading behind and move in with Brentford FC at the new Brentford Community Stadium, and their new BLK kits mark the occasion.
The home shirt features a modern quartered pattern that may raise a few eyebrows down the road at the Stoop, with its pinstripe pattern supposedly reflecting London in some way, and knowing rugby union it’s a nod to the pinstriped cliche of city traders.

The home shirt also features a London skyline on the back of the design, but the less said about that the better.
The away shirt on the other hand is a nod to the club’s Irish roots with a Celtic knot pattern on the plain white design.

Both shirts also feature gold accents on the collar and sleeves respectively, and have the legend ‘Back In Town’ on the back to celebrate their return to the city.
We really wish they hadn’t done that, but such is the imperfect universe in which we must exist.
