Stade Francais celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 99/00 Top 14 win by wearing a special throwback jersey for their Clasico match against Toulouse in Paris on Sunday evening.
The jersey is effectively an identical replica of the iconic lightning bolt jersey that the club wore that season, with the royal blue shirt scored with three red lightning bolts and red shorts.
It’s not known if this jersey will be a one-off or if it’s something Stade will wheel out at various points in this season – we hope the latter as it’s an absolutely gorgeous shirt and Stade fans could do with a pick me up in this wretched season.
One thing’s for sure, Kappa will be sensibly selling replicas of the shirt which go on sale tomorrow (Monday).
