The Dragons have revealed the brand new home and away jerseys that the Newport-based region will wear throughout their 2019/20 Guinness Pro 14 and Challenge Cup campaigns.

The new home shirt ditches the traditional red and gold accents of the Dragons kit for an all-black shirt with silver sponsors, badges and accents – the two-tone palette paying tribute to the mines and steelworks of the Gwent region that played such a huge part in the area’s history.

The away shirt is once again blue with gold sponsors and trim, and continues the long policy of the Dragons’ change strip nodding to the ancient Kingdom Of Gwent. It also features pattern that represents a stylised take on the flag of the County of Monmouth.

The Dragons will wear their new kits for the first time when they host the Scarlets in a preseason fixture on 14 September.
