Connacht Rugby have revealed their brand new 2019/20 home shirt from BLK, which also debuts a new, streamlined logo that the province will wear for the forthcoming season and beyond.
The new logo ditches the old white and blue rugby ball motif in favour of an all-white take on the eagle and armed hand part of the coat of arms of Connacht, with a simplified and more modern wordmark underneath.
The new home jersey is also suitably modern in vibe, with light and dark green pinstripes emanating from one side in an angled fashion, with striking flashes of lime green on the collar and sleeves.
Commenting on the new design, CEO of Connacht Rugby, Willie Ruane said: “As an
organisation we are continuously looking to evolve and improve everything we do.
Throughout that evolution however it is important we always remember where we are from and who it is that we represent.
“Our new logo design aims to reflect that evolution whilst also placing much greater prominence on the extremely strong core elements of the original Connacht Provincial crest.”
The new Connacht 2019/20 home shirt from BLK is available exclusively from the province’s main sponsor, Elverys Sports.
