Wests Tigers have revealed the brand new Indigenous jersey that the club will be wearing for this year’s NRL Indigenous Round.

The jersey, which is produced as usual by XBlades takes a classic orange Tigers jersey as its base, complete with black and white chevrons, and the 20 Seasons commemorative badge found on other Wests jerseys this season.

The sleeves and bottom half of the jersey feature striking indigenous art inspired by the traditional lands of the Wangal, Gadigal and Tharawal people.

The design, created by artists Vicki Golding and Dennis Golding, uses topographical lines to form “patterns that link pathways and meeting places as a way of uniting cultures to strengthen knowledge and understanding” according to Tigers.

Tigers will wear their Indigenous Jersey for Round 11 of the 2019 NRL Season, against the Rabbitohs on 25 May 2019.
