Stade Francais have revealed that the Parisian club will return to wearing Kappa gear for the 2019/20 season, bringing their four-year association with ASICS to a close.
The partnership was announced by Kappa in an innovative but very appropriate fashion – 500 pink roses were distributed to fans at the Stade Jean Bouin before the match against Stade Toulousain. Each rose was wrapped in paper bearing the Kappa logo and the words ‘We Are Back’ on it.
The ‘we are back’ of course relates to the period between 2002 and 2005 when the Parisiens took a break from Adidas and wore the Italian company’s wares, including winning the Top 14 in 2004.
The partnership was formally announced today (4 March 2019) but we’re not expecting to see any evidence of the new Stade Francais Kappa gear until July 2019.
