Queensland Maroons have revealed their brand new State Of Origin 2019 jersey, which they’ll wear when Game 1 kicks off on 5 June 2019.
The new jersey, which comes on the back of the Blues revealing a controversial alternate jersey, ditches the gold accent of recent years in favour of returning to the four white pinstripes across the front – last seen in the 1990s.
“This jersey is about celebrating our past and looking ahead to our future,” Maroons coach Kevin Walters said. “Our fans are at the heart of everything we do – and I’m thrilled that some of our most dedicated supporters got to feature in the unveiling.”
As Walters’ words suggest, there are no pictures of the jersey on players yet, as ‘fans’ have been used to launch the design.
