The Vodafone New Zealand Warriors have revealed a brand new home shirt that will see the club revert to its original 90s colours in celebration of its 25 anniversary.

The jersey is once again produced by longtime kit supplier Canterbury of New Zealand, and is reminiscent of the distinctive shirts worn by the Warriors when they debuted in what was then known as the Winfield Cup.

Like that original shirt, that jersey is blue with white, red and green striped curved chevron, replacing the black, red and white primary design of the last decade or so.

“The original 1995 strip is one of the most iconic and distinctive in New Zealand sport,” said Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George. “It signifies a time when the sporting landscape in this country changed forever, opening the way for professional sporting franchises as we know them today.”
