The Scarlets have revealed their brand new 2018/19 home shirt that the 2018 Pro14 finalists will wear throughout their league and European campaigns.
The new shirt is the classic Scarlets red on the body, with a darker shade around the shoulders and sleeves, complete with a new classic-style fold-over collar and interesting V-shaped closed placket.
The most notable facet of the new shirt is the sheer number of sponsors therein – the Scarlets are claiming that the record 18 sponsor logos covering the shorts and jersey mean that the value of the shirt has increased by 70% compared to last season, but it’s surely going to upset those who worry that Pro14 jerseys are heading down the same dark path of sponsor-trumping-design as certain French clubs.
The Scarlets home jersey is available for preorder now, and will be joined by a new away jersey (which is rumoured to be blue and white with gold trim) which will be unvieled next month.

So. Many. Sponsors. I think there’s actually a nice shirt under there somewhere
As painful as it is to see so many sponsors, it has at least been done with some style. The overall appearance is clean and presentable.
