Union Bordeaux Bègles have kicked off their new partnership with Canterbury by revealing their first new kit for the 2018/19 season, which also includes some some surprises.
Rather than a home or away jersey, Canterbury has opted to release the club’s third, ‘tradition’ design first – and it’s understandable why.
The deep burgundy jersey sports a striking checkerboard design across the from, with each of the blue squares also incorporating multiple chevrons – themselves a classic part of the UBB jersey recipe.
The shirt also sees the debuting of a modified club crest, with the UBB logo in a circle, with the words ‘Union Bordeaux Bègles Rugby’ around the outside – in typical CCC style, the crest is also a 3D injection moulded number.
Keep an eye out for our full review of the Tradition shirt, and news of all the new UBB Canterbury jerseys, on Rugby Shirt Watch soon.
