The Springboks have revealed their brand new ASICS home shirt, which the men in green will wear for their June tests, The Rugby Championship and beyond.
The new shirt keeps things suitably classic and traditional, following on from the trend that they started last season – once again we have a clean dark green jersey with the only splash of gold coming on the collar.
The collar itself is a new development – swapping last season’s classic fold-over collar for a similarly retro stub-necked design. Other than that, we also have a tonal sublimated geometric pattern on the bottom half of the jersey, and for some reason, a white ASICS logo in amongst the gold.
The Springboks will wear their new home shirt for the first time this weekend when they take on Wales in Washington DC, keep an eye on Rugby Shirt Watch for our full review soon.
Although the boys look very happy with their new jerseys, that collar looks uncomfortable.
