New South Wales Rugby League have signed a sponsorship deal with Canterbury that will see the Blues wear the rugby giant’s apparel for the 2018 State Of Origin series and beyond.
The new jersey returns the Blues to a more classic look than we’ve seen from the Classic Sportswear jerseys New South Wales has worn over the last few seasons, with a classy dark blue double chevron accented with a similar pattern on the sleeves.
The jersey also features a silicone grip to enhance ball handling in all weather conditions and Canterbury’s current Loop 17 neckline, featuring double-layer high-stretch fabrics with reinforced webbing tape.
Canterbury APAC Managing Director, Jamie Meikleham, said: “We are excited about our return as a sponsor of the NSW Blues State of Origin side. Canterbury always delivers the highest performance garments to give the players the edge as well as providing the fans the best quality replica ranges to support their team.”
This comes on the back of the Queensland Maroons signing up with ISC Sport, so we’ll be seeing a very different looking State Of Origin in 2018.
