The Parramatta Eels have revealed their brand new 2018 home and away jerseys, which are the first fruits of their recently signed apparel deal with ISC Sport.
The jerseys are a break from 70s and 80s-vibed designs the club has worn in the past few seasons, opting instead for a very cool narrow hooped design on both the home and away shirts.
The new shirts are a nod to the “Thornett Jersey” – the jersey worn by Club Legends Ken and Dick Thornett during the 1960s and 70s.
“We wanted a jersey that represented the Parramatta Eels and its rich history. There was a strong wish to create a Parramatta Eels identity. Consistent with a traditional jersey and our Club’s history, we also wanted to return to our ‘blue and gold’ colours” said Parramatta CEO Bernie Gurr. “We have reverted to the slightly darker, marine blue of earlier eras and changed to a genuine gold from the recent yellow colour. We think both the marine blue and gold are rich, powerful colours.”
Those are stunning.
I agree! These are classic and classy. Are they going to wear white shorts, or match the jersey color?
