Glasgow Warriors have revealed a brand new main sponsor that the Scottish club will wear on the front of their jerseys for the forthcoming domestic and European seasons.
The 2015 Pro12 champions have signed a three-year deal with SP Energy Networks – the distribution arm of previous Glasgow sponsor, Scottish Power – which operates across central and southern Scotland.
In addition to the company’s logo appearing on the front of the home and away jerseys, SP Energy Networks will also have their logo on top of the Community Stand at Scotstoun Stadium, and will partner with the Warriors on a variety of community projects over the next three years.
“As the ScottishPower relationship comes to an end, it’s great that SP Energy Networks have seen the benefits of partnering with Glasgow Warriors,” said former Warriors captain and current Scottish Rugby business development manager, Al Kellock. “We look forward to working with their team over the next three years to add real depth to an exciting partnership.”
The logo will not appear on this year’s replica jerseys, though tellingly the Warriors have confirmed that it will be in place on next year’s shirts.
