The All Blacks marked the arrival of the British & Irish Lions touching down on New Zealand soil by launching a brand new jersey that the World Champions will wear in the upcoming test series.
The new shirt, which features a special crest and sublimated fern design, is designed to commemorate the long history between the All Blacks and the Lions, dating all the way back to 1904.
In addition to the launch of the Tour Edition jersey, Adidas and the NZRU took the opportunity to announce that the two brands have extended their longstanding partnership until 2023.
The All Blacks signed with Adidas all the way back in 1999, and the following 18 years has been one of unprecedented dominance for New Zealand rugby. The new deal will mean the two will have been together for at least 24 years – staggering in the modern era.
