South African Super Rugby franchise the Southern Kings have kicked off their second season back in Vodacom Super Rugby by revealing their brand new home shirt at a ceremony in Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The surprise of the announcement was that the Kings have unexpectedly swapped kit suppliers from the troubled BLK to Canterbury SA, who can now boast four of the six South African Super Rugby teams in their stable.
The shirt itself is a striking red-to-black fade design that contrasts sharply with the multi-coloured diamond design of last season, and keeps the yellow restricted to the collar area.
